Calvary Chapel of LaGrange
Verse-By-Verse Through the Bible

Welcome!

 Grace and peace to you.

We at Calvary Chapel of LaGrange invite you to join us as we seek to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18

It is our desire to follow the example given to us by the early church in Acts 2:4,
"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers."

Join us as we study the whole Word of God, verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter, book-by-book and as we worship the Lord in spirit and truth.

Devotion For Today Sunday 10/26/14

"Blessed is the man You choose, and cause to approach You, that He may dwell in Your courts." PSALM 65:6

What a blessing it is to be brought close to God by God Himself. Consider that our heavenly Father reaches out His arms to us that we would come to Him as His children; desiring to hold us with the same hands which created the universe! Consider that Jesus reaches out His arms to us that we would come to Him as sheep to our Shepherd; that He holds us with in the same arms which were nailed to a cross for us. Consider that the Holy Spirit reaches out to us, speaking to us, pointing us to the outstretched arms of our Father and the Son. How blessed we are to know that we are loved with the everlasting love of our God and that His arms will never let go of us; for we are His people. "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39) Praise the Lord! In Jesus' name. Amen.

The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His Countenance upon you, and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Proverb for the Week    Proverb 18:5-10

It is not good to show partiality to the wicked, or to overthrow the righteous in judgment.

A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calls for blows.

A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.

The words of a talebearer are like tasty trifles, and they go down into the inmost body.

He who is slothful in his work is a brother to him who is a great destroyer.

The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.
