Calvary Chapel of LaGrange
Verse-By-Verse Through the Bible

Welcome!

 Grace and peace to you.

We at Calvary Chapel of LaGrange invite you to join us as we seek to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18

It is our desire to follow the example given to us by the early church in Acts 2:4,
"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers."

Join us as we study the whole Word of God, verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter, book-by-book and as we worship the Lord in spirit and truth.

Devotion For Today Wednesday 10/22/14

"Thus I will bless You while I live, I will lift up my hands in Your name." PSALM 63:4

There is wonderful imagery found in the lifted hands of the ones who love God. First, we see the raised hands completing the worshiper into the image of a cup; a cup to be filled with the presence of the Lord. Second, we see the raised hands to form the shape of a "V" over the worshiper; rejoicing in the Victory we have in Christ. Finally, we see the raised hands as a child would come to a parent wanting to be picked up and held; the relationship of love. All of these bless the LORD our God. Thus I will bless the LORD while I live, I will lift up my hands in Your name. Amen.

The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His Countenance upon you, and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Proverb for the Week    Proverb 18:5-10

It is not good to show partiality to the wicked, or to overthrow the righteous in judgment.

A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calls for blows.

A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.

The words of a talebearer are like tasty trifles, and they go down into the inmost body.

He who is slothful in his work is a brother to him who is a great destroyer.

The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.
