Calvary Chapel of LaGrange
Verse-By-Verse Through the Bible

Welcome!

 Grace and peace to you.

We at Calvary Chapel of LaGrange invite you to join us as we seek to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18

It is our desire to follow the example given to us by the early church in Acts 2:4,
"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers."

Join us as we study the whole Word of God, verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter, book-by-book and as we worship the Lord in spirit and truth.

Devotion For Today Friday 10/31/14

"God be merciful to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us." PSALM 67:1

It is the glory of the LORD which causes the faces of His people to shine. It is His face shining upon our faces which is reflected for all to see. We are as the moon, incapable of producing light, but a reflector for the light of the sun. We are as the moon, able to be viewed as reflectors, whereas the light of the sun is too great for our eyes to look at directly. We pray, "Be merciful to us and bless us; that those who see us, see the light of our God shining upon our faces; that those who see the light see Your glory O LORD." The blessing given to the children of Israel and to all who love the LORD was written in Numbers 6:24-26, "The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace." Amen.

The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His Countenance upon you, and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Proverb for the Week    Proverb 18:11-15

The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and like a high wall in his own esteem.

Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty, and before honor is humility.

He who answers a matter before he hears it, it is folly and shame to him.

The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a broken spirit?

The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
