Calvary Chapel of LaGrange
Verse-By-Verse Through the Bible

Welcome!

 Grace and peace to you.

We at Calvary Chapel of LaGrange invite you to join us as we seek to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18

It is our desire to follow the example given to us by the early church in Acts 2:4,
"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers."

Join us as we study the whole Word of God, verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter, book-by-book and as we worship the Lord in spirit and truth.

Devotion For Today Sunday 8/2/15

"Blessed be the LORD my Rock...my lovingkindness and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield and the One in whom I take refuge..."  PSALM 144:1-2

The strongest and safest cities throughout history have been the ones built on strong foundations and and fortified with high towers and walls. They were built in strategic locations on high hills and with access to food and water sources. These cities were considered impenetrable and the only hope of conquering one might be through weakness in there gates. The kingdom of God is built upon the Rock which cannot be shaken or moved, Jesus Christ. He is our fortress, our high tower, our deliverer, our shield, and the One in whom we take refuge. His walls and gates are impenetrable. His word is our food and our living water. His Spirit is in the midst of the city of God. He sits upon the throne and He rules and reigns with lovingkindness. He is our God and we are His people. And His kingdom has no end. Blessed be the LORD our Rock in whom we trust and love. Blessed be the LORD! Amen.

The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His Countenance upon you, and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Do not remove the ancient landmark which your fathers have set.

Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before unknown men.
